Rusty watched as Zigzagoon's body went limp and fell to the ground before him. He stood speechless, unable to move. The swirling torrent of sand ceased just as quickly as it had been started. What had he just done. He was feeling guilty for injuring an innocent Pokemon. On the other hand, he felt somehow empowered. He could feel the adrenaline rushing through his veins. The battle had left him pumped and ready for more. The look in Duster's eye told Rusty that he had discovered an insatiable thirst for battle, too.
Now that Rusty had experienced battle with Pokemon, he wished to capture one. Of course, to capture a Pokemon he would need the ever important PokeBall. He reached into his pocket and a wave of depression fell over him. He had forgotten to ask the professor for a starting set of five PokeBalls. He cursed himself for being so stupid. In his rage, he kicked a rock, which bounced off of a tree and proceeded to connect with his face. Rusty fell onto this rear and hung his head.
Rusty looked up through his hair and saw Duster. The small dinosaur could obviously tell that his new Trainer was distressed, but he could not figure out why. Not being one to pry, Duster took a few steps in the opposite direction. Rusty heaved a heavy sigh. There was nothing he could do now. Newhubbville was several miles away, and he was too tired to run all the way back just for few PokeBalls. He would just have to purchase some when he reached the next town. But that could wait. Now was the time for battle.
