Miles walked onto the small dirt path, precariously. He saw a small Pokemon's silhouette and approached it silently.
((Note: I am NOT godmodding, I did not specify which Pokemon, and a trainer could always come along and scare the Poke' anyway))

The silhoutte was of a small Wooper that had just waddled onto land. The wooper remained oblivious to the incoming Pokemon and trainer. It continued to take sips of the water.

Miles looked over his Pokeballs, he chose Dylan. "Go!" he said, thrusting the ball into the air.

Wooper smiled at the new friendly Pokemon. It waddled up to Dyllan. Wooper stopped when it noticed Miles standing behind the Zigzagoon. It jumped back. Its mouth started to foam with bubbles. Water sprayed from its mouth towards Dyllan and his trainer.

Miles and Dyllan stood, soaked through and through. "Oh my god!" said Miles. The young trainer ordered a Cut from Dyllan, then he shouted, "Tackle, now!"

Dyllan's Cut drew a dangerous mark into Wooper's body. Wooper looked surprised. Suddenly mud started to leak from its body and cover the field. It was using Muddy Sport. During this time Zigzagooon charged at Wooper. Zigzagoon slammed its body into Wooper. Wooper sustained damage.

Zigzagoon dove at the Wooper again, this time smashing harder than before into the small Water and Ground type Pokemon. He aimed a Cut at the Pokemon and then charged with another Tackle. Then the small Raccoon Pokemon began to muster another Tackle.

The Cut drove itself into Wooper's body causing another obvious wound. As Zigzagoon rushed the small Wooper for its Tackle the Wooper opened his mouth up and a blast of water slammed Zigzagoon away and back into the ground. Zigzagoon got up and shook some of the water off of it. IT charged again at Wooper. Its body collided with Wooper before Wooper unleashed another Water Gun at the poor Raccoon Pokemon.

Dyllan launched two Tackles at the little Pokemon and then Miles threw a Pokeball to catch the small blue Mudfish Pokemon.

Wooper expertly dodged the first tackle, but when Zigzagoon twisted around and tackled him the second time, Wooper was caught off guard and slammed into the ground. Wooper quickly jumped back to his feet just in time for the Pokeball to hit him. The ball wiggled once, twice...and the ball exploded! Wooper emerged from the Pokeball unleashing a quick stream of water at Zigzagoon, soaking the poor raccoon Pokemon.

Miles recalled his Pokemon as a safety measure, and sent out Robin. The small Starly screeched loudly, "Ly, Starly! Star!" and dove at the Wooper, talons unsheathed. Then, Miles threw another Pokeball into the air.

*First off I'd like to thank you for keeping your Pokemon's stats in your signature it makes working so easy! Second off, due to the finding of a more satisfactory way of dealing damage and checking the Pokemon's stats you may notice your Pokemon taking more damage or wild Pokemon being stronger this is why.*
Starly's talons dug into Wooper. It panicked before shooting out a rushing steam of water at the bird Pokemon. The bird Pokemon although wet was still holding up strong. It flew into the air. Wooper was distracted by Starly's performance. Miles' perfectly thrown Pokeball opened up and sucked in the distracted mudfish Pokemon. The ball plummeted to the ground. The ball wiggled once, twice, and...three times. The ball blinked with a satisfactory capture.

Do you wish to nickname Wooper?

Miles breathed out a sigh of relief gently, "Wow!" he said. He sent out the newly caught Pokemon, "Hey little guy!" he said. He noticed the small Pokemon wobbling and teetering off balance slightly. It was so adorable. "I'll name you Willy," he said. "Is that okay?" The small Wooper nodded and smiled for a second, then collapsed from exhaustion.
((EDIT: Do I gain Exp? I know in the games I wouldn't, but think of it from a realistic perspective for a sec; I still fought and (sort of) defeated Willy, right?))

*That is one of the greatest questions of all Pokemon RPGs currently no you do not gain EXP from catching Pokemon...this is still a matter that is up for debate between the admins.*

((Is that a "no," then? Obviously you should get to choose))

*Well, actually I say no...because then you should gain EXP during the battle as the more you battle the more EXP you gain, and then comes into the problem that we faced before people started gaining way too much EXP for not a lot of battles and that just isn't all that fair.*

((Okay, then))
Miles picked up the tired Pokemon in his arms and patted his head gently. "You put up a great fight," he whispered. Then, he recalled the Pokemon and headed back to Crotex City to heal his Pokemon.
