*Okay I just now noticed that someone wanted me to continue this fanfiction. So I guess I might as well*
Luminress City.”
“Luminress City. I love that town the lights, the contests, the stars, it’s a wonderful place,” said Stephanie.
“Oh, no, I don’t want to listen to this,” said Max. Riolu glanced up at Max before jumping back into its Pokeball worn out.
Stephanie grabbed Max and paraded him straight out into the open air and towards the Pokemon Center. She kept talking about Luminress City and the contests that took place there. Max’s mind however was more focused on Gary and his Pokemon. His Machop, Spearow, and Sableye. They seemed to blend together during battle and become completely in synch. He hated Gary’s guts, but he admired his fighting style.
The entered the Pokemon Center where Nurse Joy sat. She immediately rushed up to the two of them. “What’s going on here, kid? I just healed your Pokemon.”
“For your information missy my little brother, just won at the Pewter City Gym. Did you every manage such a feat? No, I didn’t think you did. Now heal his Pokemon,” said Stephanie.
“Wow, you are pushy. I’ll heal his Pokemon, just because I feel sorry for him,” said Nurse Joy. She swooped up Max’s Pokemon and hurried over to the machine. Max got a good glance at all the other kids in the center. All cuddling their Pokemon and speaking sweetly to them.
“What happened?” asked Max. Nurse Joy glanced over he shoulder at the two. She sighed and walked up to them.
“You see there’s been stories about a rogue Pokemon its been defeating Pokemon left and right. All of these trainers tried to take it on, but sadly they lost,” said Nurse Joy, “from what I’ve heard the Pokemon was a white ball of fur with long arms and legs. Its been viciously beating one Pokemon after another.”
“No way! This Pokemon sounds extremely tough, it’s just what I need to add to my team. This Pokemon plus my Riolu, we’ll be unstoppable!” said Max brimming with confidence.
“You’re kidding me right? This Pokemon beat all of these trainer’s Pokemon and you expect that you can beat,” said Stephanie. “Especially since you just lost two out of three of your battles.”
“Hey, wasn’t it you who suggested that I get back out there,” said Max grabbing his PokeBalls and running out the door. Stephanie sighed and ran out after him.
Max ran into the grass and began whooping and hollering for a “Super strong pokemon that wants to join his team.” Stephanie approached the ledge when she saw it. A small white monkey-like creature climbing down from a tree behind Max.
“MAX! Behind you!” screamed Stephanie. Max twirled around just in time to see a small white fur ball with arms and legs fling himself at him. The pokemon knocked him down. It began to dance around in circles happily chattering. Max stood up and knocked the dust off of him. He reached to grab his Pokeball when the pokemon flung himself at him again. Max’s arms went up to protect him when a flash of white light exploded beside him. Eevee shot out and tackled the wild pokemon. The wild Pokemon stood up and chattered angrily at Eevee. Stephanie ran up to Max.
“Max, don’t worry about this Mankey, Rika and me will handle this,” said Stephanie.
Max reached into his Pocket and pulled out his PokeDex. Mankey, the Pig Monkey Pokemon. Mankey is easily angered and can become quite vicious. It is best avoided for beginning trainers.
“Rika, tackle attack,” said Stephanie. Rika landed and began dodging in numerous directions before getting close enough to launch itself at Mankey.
“Maaannnkkkeyyy” screeched Mankey as it toppled over. Mankey struggled back to his feet and began chattering angrily again this time pumping his arms into the air.
“Rika, sand attack with style,” commanded Stephanie. Rika jumped up and spun when it hit the ground, it kept spinning causing a wave of sand to spurt out in all directions. The sand glistened in the air before flying into Mankey creating a loss of accuracy. The Mankey screeched and charged towards Rika. The Mankey’s hand came down with great force in a chopping motion.
“Watch out, Stephanie its Mankey’s Karate Chop,” shouted Max.
“I know what it is,” said Stephanie her eyes focused on Rika. Rika had taken the hit pretty hard and laid still on the ground. Rika slowly clambered up to her feet and shook the dirt out of her hair.
Stephanie was starting to wonder what she was thinking. She was the smart one out of the group. Yet, she was dumb enough to get into a fight where her Pokemon had the disadvantage. Now Rika is taking a beating, because of her.
“Rika, sand attack once more,” cried Stephanie. Rika responded promptly by jumping up and spinning into the ground throwing dirt everywhere. Some of the dirt flew into Mankey’s eyes making it lose more accuracy.
Mankey let out another screech and charged towards Rika scratching with both paws in the air on its way. Rika sped to the side easily dodging the half-blinded Mankey’s attack. Mankey skidded to a stop and ran off towards Rika again claws still swinging in the air. One of its claws made contact. Rika was swung to the side by Mankey’s strength.
“Stephanie, just let me and Riolu take care of this,” shouted Max. Stephanie shook her head in response. Her eyes were too focused on the battle to even glance back.
“Rika, tail whip!” commanded Stephanie. Rika rolled about then swung its tail from side to side, teasing Mankey. Mankey released another screech as he charged towards Rika, his anger made him more vulnerable to close ranged attacks. Mankey swung his paws towards Rika again, in a Karate Chop missing this time. Rika launched herself at Mankey with a Tackle toppling Mankey with tremendous force.
Mankey struggled back to his feet. His arms pounded against his chest. “Mannkkkeeyyyy” screech Mankey with a renewed vigor.
“Rika, growl,” said Stephanie. Rika let loose a small low growl. The Mankey seemed completely unaffected by it. He launched himself at Rika again. His foot dragged across the floor, until it came out in a final and triumphant low kick. Rika was hurled to the ground. Rika shook it off and stood up again. She was out of breath. This battle was taking a bigger toll on Rika then Mankey.
Mankey screeched again and charged towards Rika with more anger then before. Rika stood her ground and took the Karate Chop dead on. Rika was knocked back and laid stretched out against the ground before managing to get back to her feet.
“Rika, sa-sa-sand attack,” stuttered Stephanie. Rika just managed to kick up some dirt this time into Mankey’s eyes.
Mankey wiped some of the dirt from his eyes and glared at Rika. Rika seemed to be all out of energy to move.
“Maaaaannnnnnkkkkkkeeeeyyyyyyyy,” screeched the Mankey charging full throttle towards Rika scratching and kicking all the way. Rika shoved off the ground in a short burst of strength and rammed head first into Mankey’s stomach. Mankey groaned for a second before it fell down to one knee. Its legs shook for a second before it stood back up renewed and full of more energy then ever. Mankey thrust its arm into the air with a new determination about him.
How does Max get out of this mess? Post back and see.
